Here at HID Kits we try to look out for you. So when we see a problem we try to help. Be Aware some ebay sellers are selling fake MTEC Kits. I’m not going to name names but they are out there. So make sure when you buy your kit you check for the pre installed isolate pad also check for a S/N and Batch number. If you kit has no S/N and no Batch number then its almost 99.9% fake. What else should you look for to spot a fake kit? So far the fake kits do not come with any Installation Guide and the sellers who do not show the picture of the ballast watch out for. A Real MTEC seller will also offer a Authentic MTEC 2 year warranty, but fake ones only provide 1 year or even 20 days. So when looking for a kit even on EBAY expect to pay atleast 300 dollars and up. If you want more infomation check out the MTEC Store online. They also have a page that can give you a better idea of what to look for and how to spot a fake kit. If you want to check out some reviews on the real MTEC kits view our page here. Every type of kit was found to have knocks off’s. H1, H3, H4Lo, H7, H8, H9, H11, H13, 9004, 9005, 9006, 9007, 880, 893 were all affected.
